Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies transferred pitcher Tyler Chatwood from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL on Monday.

Chatwood, who has endured an injury-plagued start to the 2014 season, had been placed on the 15-day DL last week thanks to a right elbow strain. The 24-year- old right-hander has gone 1-0 with a 4.50 earned run average in only four starts this season.

In addition, prior to the start of an interleague series with the Texas Rangers, the Rockies selected the contract of pitcher Nick Masset from Triple- A Colorado Springs and optioned infielder Ryan Wheeler to the Sky Sox.

Masset hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011, when he finished 3-6 with a 3.71 ERA in 75 games for the Cincinnati Reds. He owns a 16-14 record and 3.78 ERA in 308 appearances with the Rangers, White Sox and Reds from 2006-11.

Wheeler collected two hits in four at-bats with an RBI and run scored over a two-game call-up this past weekend.
