Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the seven-day disabled list Friday due to concussion-like symptoms.

Hicks left Thursday's nightcap against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth inning after crashing into the outfield wall while tracking a Scott Van Slyke fly ball which turned into a triple. Hicks stayed in the game for another inning, but was removed for pinch-hitter Jason Kubel in the seventh.

The 24-year-old has one home run and seven RBI over 24 games this season, but is hitting a paltry .178.

To fill the roster spot, Minnesota recalled pitcher Logan Darnell from Triple- A Rochester.
