Montevideo, Uruguay (SportsNetwork.com) - Ty Capps parred the third playoff hole Sunday to defeat Tommy Cocha and win the Roberto De Vicenzo Invitational Copa NEC.

Capps bogeyed two of his final four holes as he carded a 1-under 71 during his final round to finish the tournament at 16-under-par 272. Cocha shot a 6-under 66 to meet him atop the leaderboard and force the playoff.

The duo returned to the 18th hole at Club de Golf del Uruguay for the first extra hole and traded pars before moving to the eighth, where Cocha failed to convert a 5-foot birdie putt to force the third playoff hole.

They then moved to the par-4 ninth and Capps found the green with his second shot, while Cocha came up short of the green.

Cocha chipped on with his third shot, but then 2-putted for bogey. Capps took advantage with a 2-putt par and his first career win on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

Robert Rohanna (68) and Rafael Compos (70) shared third place at 15-under, while Kent Bulle (69) and Marcelo Rozo (72) tied for fifth at minus-14.
