Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cure Bowl will be added to the college football postseason line-up, starting in December 2015.

The Orlando Sports Foundation announced the new contest on Wednesday. It will match teams from the Sun Belt Conference and American Athletic Conference.

Charitable contributions are always part of bowl game revenues, but the new game will help to raise money for breast cancer research.

"The Orlando Sports Foundation is excited about the opportunity to provide the student-athletes of the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference an opportunity to play in an NCAA postseason bowl here in Orlando and to give the Breast Cancer Research Foundation a national platform to fund cancer research at the highest level," said Orlando Sports Foundation executive director Alan Gooch in a statement Wednesday.

The game will be played yearly at the newly renovated Citrus Bowl the weekend before the Christmas holiday.
