Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago White Sox right fielder Avisail Garcia will have season-ending surgery on his left shoulder to repair a torn labrum, the team said Thursday.

Garcia was hurt diving for a line drive in the sixth inning against Colorado on Wednesday. DJ LeMahieu ended up with a game-tying double when Garcia didn't come up with the catch.

Initial X-rays taken at Coors Field were negative for fracture, separation or dislocation, but an MRI on Thursday at Rush University Medical Center back in Chicago revealed the tear in Garcia's labrum, the team said.

Garcia, 22, was hitting .267 with a .353 on-base percentage and two home runs, both in Tuesday's win over Colorado.

The White Sox recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Triple-A Charlotte.
