Chester, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Union announced Tuesday that the club has terminated the contract of midfielder Keon Daniel by mutual consent.

"We think this move is the best decision for both Keon's career and our club," said Union head coach John Hackworth. "We wish him luck and thank him for his contributions to the Union."

A Trinidad & Tobago international, Daniel was signed by the Union at the beginning of the 2011 season. The midfielder went on to make 64 appearances for club, scoring two goals and adding four assists. He did not see any minutes over the first five games of the 2014 season.
