Benneteau will get French going against Germany

Nancy, France ( - France and Germany will square off in a Davis Cup quarterfinal this weekend and the best-of-five affair will get underway Friday with a match between Julien Benneteau and Tobias Kamke.

Benneteau-Kamke will be followed by a rubber between French star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Peter Gojowczyk on an indoor hardcourt at Palais Des Sports Jean Weille.

Saturday's doubles in Nancy will pit a French team of Michael Llodra and Gael Monfils versus a German tandem of Kamke and Andre Begemann, while Sunday's reverse doubles will see Tsonga facing Kamke and Benneteau battling Gojowczyk.

Team France is led by rookie captain Arnaud Clement, while the German are guided by Carsten Arriens.

The French are 7-2 all-time versus the Germans, including a win in their last meeting in a quarterfinal in Stuttgart in 2011. They first met in 1913, with Germany winning that one in Wiesbaden.

The winner in France will meet the Czech Republic-Japan victor in a semifinal in September.
