Hull, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor is expected to miss the rest of the season because of a kidney injury.

McGregor was injured in Hull's 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Wednesday when he collided with Hammers midfielder Mohamed Diame and was sent off after referee Mike Dean consulted with his assistant.

"Allan's going to be in the High Dependency Unit for another couple of days," said Hull manager Steve Bruce. "We think he'll leave the hospital in a week or so."

The Scotland international started 25 Premier League games for the Tigers this season, and he will likely be replaced by veteran Steve Harper, with the club recalling Eldin Jakupovic from his loan with League One side Leyton Orient, where he kept seven clean sheets in 13 matches.
