Mexico City, Mexico (SportsNetwork.com) - Pachuca moved into third place in Liga MX with second-half goals from Walter Ayovi and Enner Valencia in a 2-0 win over Jaguares.

Ayovi broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when he hammered a free kick into the top right corner of the net beyond the reach of Jaguares goalkeeper Alfredo Mendoza.

Pachuca continued to ask most of the questions in the attacking third but didn't add a second goal until stoppage time after Luis Rodriguez was sent off in the 89th minute for Jaguares.

Ayovi played a corner kick into the penalty area and Valencia stabbed the ball home from a few yards to seal the win.

Cruz Azul was held to a 0-0 draw at Leon, while second-place Toluca dropped four points back of Cruz Azul after losing 2-1 to Atlante on goals from Roberto Gutierrez and Michael Arroyo.

Juan Pablo Rodriguez scored a pair of goals for Santos but Carlos Morales netted the equalizer in the 68th minute for Morelia as the teams played to a 2-2 draw.

Tijuana topped Puebla, 3-1, Queretaro used a pair of goals in the first 30 minutes to down Tigres, 2-0, America and Veracruz finished 0-0, Jose Ortigoza scored in the 72nd to help Atlas claim a 1-1 draw with Guadalajara, while Dario Veron's own goal handed Monterrey a 2-1 win at UNAM.
