(SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Clippers got back in the win column last time out and will try to continue their momentum Monday night when they host the Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center.
The Clips had an 11-game winning streak snapped one week ago in Denver, but rebounded on Saturday night with a 112-103 home victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Chris Paul deposited 28 points with 15 assists to lead the Clippers to victory. Paul picked up his 6,000th career assist in the win, but wanted to focus on other parts of the team rather than his career statistics.
"It's cool. I'll look back on it later," said Paul. "I'm focused on winning games and not individual accomplishments."
Blake Griffin scored 25 points, while Matt Barnes and Danny Granger each chipped in 14 for LA, which won its sixth straight over the Pistons and seventh in a row as the host.
After Los Angeles hosts the Bucks on Monday, the Clippers hit the road for five straight. Then, they close the season with five of six at home.
The Bucks have lost seven in a row and 10 of their last 11. They still own the worst record in the NBA, despite the Philadelphia 76ers losing every game since before the Super Bowl.
On Sunday, the Bucks fell, 124-107, to the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena.
O.J. Mayo netted 21 off the bench and Ersan Ilyasova was the lone starter in double figures with 14 points for the Bucks, who have dropped 18 of their last 19 on the road. Jeff Adrien and Ramon Sessions added 13 points apiece for the second unit.
The Kings flew out to a 10-point lead seven minutes into the game and closed the first quarter on an 18-3 run.
"First quarter we didn't put up enough of a fight. I think we gave up 39 points in that first quarter and that's very uncharacteristic of us," said Milwaukee head coach Larry Drew.
Milwaukee came as close as 20 in the third, but the Kings' lead ballooned to as many as 40 before taking a 104-70 margin into the fourth. The Bucks outscored Sacramento by a 37-20 margin in the fourth to make the score appear closer than it was.
Monday night's game completes a four-game western trip.
The Clippers have won four straight against the Bucks, including five in a row at Staples Center and 12 of 13 as the host in this series.
