San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Chargers signed running back Donald Brown to a three-year contract on Tuesday.

The five-year pro had spent his entire career in Indianapolis, which selected the Connecticut product with the 27th overall pick of the 2009 draft.

He appeared in all 16 games last season and started five, totaling 537 yards on 102 carries while finding the end zone a career-best six times. He also had 27 catches for 214 yards and two scores.

Over his career, he has compiled 2,377 yards on 551 carries and 17 touchdowns, along with 83 catches for 767 yards and two scores.
