Cameron Ayers had 11 points and led a second-half surge in Bucknell's 63-53 road victory over Boston University on Sunday.

Bucknell (14-13, 9-7 Patriot League) scored only 29 points in the first 29 minutes and trailed by seven points before it outscored Boston U. 34-17 to finish the game.

Ayers started the run with a pair of free throws with 10:40 left and D.J. MacLeay's 3-pointer with 7:53 gave Bucknell its first lead of the second half at 40-38. The Bison never trailed from there.

The only Bucknell starter on the floor during the final stretch was Ayers. He was joined by reserves, MacLeay, Cory Starkey, John Azzinaro and Ryan Frazier, who accounted for 30 of the 34 points that powered the victory.

Nathan Dieudonne had 13 points to lead Boston U. (20-9, 13-3) which dropped to a one-game lead over second-place American U. (12-4) for the league's top spot.
