Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Hawks acquired veteran forward Antawn Jamison from the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

Jamison has appeared in 22 games for LA this season, averaging 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.

The former UNC Tarheel has been a prolific scorer in his 16 NBA seasons with Golden State, Washington, Cleveland, the Lakers and Clippers, averaging 18.5 points and 7.5 boards. He was drafted fourth overall by Toronto in 1998, one pick before college teammate Vince Carter.

The Hawks sent the rights to Turkish swingman Cenk Akyol to LA. Drafted 59th overall in 2005, Akyol currently plays for Galatasaray Liv Hospital in Turkey and has never played in the NBA.
