The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade guard Jason Terry and forward Reggie Evans to the Sacramento Kings for Marcus Thornton.

"Marcus is a proven scorer in this league," Nets general manager Billy King said. "He is a young talent who will help us in the backcourt."

Thornton is averaging 8.3 points per game this season after putting up 21.3 ppg two years ago and 18.7 ppg last season.

"Thxs to the Sacramento organization and most of all the fans for showing me love since my 1st day in sac really appreciate it," Thornton said on his Twitter account.

Terry has tallied 4.5 points per game in 35 tilts this year after coming over from the Boston Celtics along with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in a trade during the summer.

The 6-foot-8 Evans, known more for his tenacity and hustle on the defensive end, is averaging 2.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this season. He averaged 11.1 boards per contest last year.
