Stoke-on-Trent, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Sunderland has accepted an offer from Stoke City for the transfer of Lee Cattermole, it was revealed Friday.
The Potters had one deadline-day bid rebuffed but returned with a second, believed to be worth up to $8 million.
The midfielder is expected to travel to Stoke City to finalize the deal by agreeing to personal terms and passing a medical.
