Jerrelle Benimon scored 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Towson took down Charleston 72-57 on Sunday.

Towson (12-6, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) outscored Charleston (10-9, 2-2) 41-28 in the second half after leading by two points at the half.

The Tigers opened the second half on a 12-5 run, led by six points from Benimon during the stretch. Charleston never cut the deficit to fewer than six points the rest of the way as Towson built its lead to as many as 18.

Benimon scored 13 of his points in the second half. Mike Burwell added 18 points while Rafriel Guthrie had 14 and Four McGlynn contributed 11 points for the Tigers.

Willis Hall had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Cougars. Adjehi Baru added 15 points and nine boards.

Towson extended its win streak to five games and won its third consecutive road contest.
