London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Chelsea will continue its title push on Sunday when it welcomes Manchester United to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues enter the weekend on a three-game winning run to leave the club in third place in the English top flight on 46 points, just two points behind first-place Arsenal and one point back of Manchester City.

And while manager Jose Mourinho relishes the prospect of adding to Chelsea's trophy cabinet in his first season back with the London club, he remains conscious of the bigger picture.

"We are not desperate to win the title, I keep saying the same," Mourinho told reporters at Chelsea's training ground. "We want to build a team for the future, find a transition between the Chelsea of the last decade and Chelsea of the next decade. But we will try to fight for the title until the end.

"Everyone's going to lose matches I believe. Let's see what is going to happen unless Man City win every game and kill everyone with 20 points difference."

Chelsea will face a United side that has struggled in the new year despite winning five of its last six Premier League contests. The Red Devils, who enter the clash in seventh place on 37 points, have been in dismal form in other competitions of late, losing to Tottenham, Swansea City and Sunderland in Premier League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup action, respectively, before finally getting back to winning ways with a 2-0 defeat of Swansea last weekend.

United is also stricken with injuries as the reigning champions are still without their first-choice forward pairing of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney. And while Manchester United comes into Sunday's affair on a seven-game road unbeaten streak in league play, it is tough to envision the Red Devils getting any more than a draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Manchester City and Arsenal will hope to pull further away from Chelsea with wins on Saturday. The Citizens will host a Cardiff City side looking to make a mark under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the Gunners will attempt to add to their four-game winning run with maximum points against struggling Fulham at the Emirates.

Newcastle's impressive winning streak has come to an abrupt end as the Magpies have lost three straight in league play. They will look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they head to Upton Park to face West Ham United.

Also on Saturday, Sunderland welcomes Southampton to the Stadium of Light, Stoke City heads to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace, Norwich City squares off with Hull City at Carrow Road and Liverpool goes for its third straight league win when it hosts Aston Villa at Anfield.

Sunday's opening fixture will see Tottenham head to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City while the Premier League's weekend slate wraps up on Monday with Everton facing West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
