Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies have avoided arbitration with Kyle Kendrick, agreeing to terms with the pitcher on a one- year, $7.675 million on Thursday.
The deal also includes award bonuses.
Kendrick, 29, made 30 starts for the Phillies last season, going 10-13 with a 4.70 earned run average.
The right-hander has spent all seven of his major league seasons with Philadelphia. For his career, Kendrick is 64-55 with a 4.38 ERA in 194 games, including 153 starts.
