Foxborough, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Revolution announced Thursday that the club has signed striker Charlie Davies from Denmark's Randers FC on a permanent basis.

Davies spent the second half of the 2013 season on loan with the Revs from the Danish club, and New England made the move permanent by signing the 27- year-old once his contract with Randers had been dissolved by mutual consent. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We're pleased that Charlie will be re-joining us and that we were able to find a way to make it work with MLS and Randers," General Manager Michael Burns said. "Charlie came in last summer and showed us a lot of good things, and we're looking forward to seeing him integrated into the squad more in 2014."

Davies made four appearances as a substitute with the Revs in 2013. He was an All-American at Boston College and has enjoyed professional stints with Swedish club Hammarby and French club Sochaux as well as D.C. United.
