Cameron Bairstow scored 15 points and Cleveland Thomas hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime, as New Mexico defeated Wyoming 72-69 on Wednesday night.

Alex Kirk had 12 points and blocked a layup by Riley Grabau with 15 seconds left to help the Lobos (11-3, 2-0 Mountain West) to their fourth straight win. Thomas finished with 12 points and Kendall Williams added 10 points for New Mexico.

Grabau scored a career-high 24 points for Wyoming (9-6, 0-2) but missed a 3-pointer that could have sent the game into a second overtime. Sobey added 16 points and Josh Adams had 12 for the Cowboys.

Williams hit a free throw with 22.3 seconds left in regulation to give New Mexico a 64-62 lead but missed his second, and Grabau tied it with two foul shots with 7.6 seconds to go. Williams air-balled a 3 at the end of regulation, setting up overtime.
