Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Zach Johnson rallied for a 1-stroke win at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on Monday, and that victory moved him to seventh in the first world golf ranking of 2014.
Johnson's 11th career PGA Tour title moved him up a pair of places from ninth.
The first six spots remained the same, with Tiger Woods maintaining the top spot ahead of Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy.
Johnson's move to seventh caused Matt Kuchar and Steve Stricker to each drop a spot to sit in eighth and ninth, respectively. Sergio Garcia stayed put to round out the top 10.
Jason Day and Ian Poulter remained in 11th and 12th, while Jason Dufner jumped a pair of slots to sit in 13th and Brandt Snedeker and Graeme McDowell each dropped a place to sit in 14th and 15th. Dustin Johnson held firm in 16th.
The big move in the rankings came from reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Jordan Spieth, who finished in second behind Zach Johnson in Hawaii and leapt five spots to 17th.
Charl Schwartzel remained in 18th, Luke Donald fell a pair of places to 19th and Webb Simpson inched up a place to round out the top 20.
Spieth's move caused Jim Furyk and Keegan Bradley to each fall two spots and drop out of the top 20. Furyk fell to 21st and Bradley dropped to 22nd.
