Lake Buena Vista, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed right-handed pitcher Charlie Morton to a three-year contract with a club option for 2017.

The deal is worth $21 million, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

In his return from June 2012 Tommy John surgery, Morton went 7-4 with a 3.26 ERA across 20 starts in 2013.

The right-hander is 30-49 with a 4.70 ERA over 109 career games with the Braves and Pirates.
