Louisville has announced guard Antonita Slaughter will undergo tests through Thursday to determine what caused her to collapse during Tuesday night's victory over Missouri State.

Slaughter scored the game's first basket but after being substituted for with 17:32 left in the first half, she collapsed while on the bench in the seventh-ranked Cardinals' 91-49 rout. She was taken out of the arena on a stretcher to Jewish Hospital.

Cardinals spokesperson Kimberli Pemberton said Wednesday the 6-foot-1 senior is in good spirits and surrounded by family.

Louisville coach Jeff Walz said after the game Slaughter was alert, talking and had shown no signs of feeling ill before the game.

Walz says, "We've never had anything like this from her, or any kind of past history to be able to call on."
