Carson, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chivas USA head coach Jose Luis Real has stepped down from his position and will return as head coach of Chivas de Guadalajara, the Mexican club announced on Monday.

Real was introduced as Chivas USA head coach on May 29, 2013, as the replacement for Jose Luis Sanchez Sola.

In 21 games leading the Goats, Real and his staff were able to record three victories and six draws, but finished at the bottom of the MLS Western Conference with just 26 points.

According to a press release, Chivas USA "are currently evaluating replacements for the former manager to lead the MLS side. The new head coach will be named in the near future."
