Belo Horizonte, Brazil (SportsNetwork.com) - Ponte Preta's Leonardo Goncalves Silva struck in the 90th minute at the Mineirao on Sunday to deny Cruzeiro the Brasileiro title as the two sides played to a 2-2 draw.

Silva opened the scoring just five minutes into the affair, but Cruzeiro stormed back in the second half with goals from Elierce Barbosa de Souza and Vinicius in the 74th and 83rd minutes, respectively.

The title appeared to be secured by the home side, but Silva netted a late equalizer to put Cruzeiro's celebrations on hold for another week.

It would take a monumental collapse for Cruzeiro to miss out on the Brasileiro title as the club leads second-place Gremio by 15 points with three matches to go. Cruzeiro also has a goal differential of +42 compared to Gremio's +6, meaning Marcelo Oliveira's men have the title all but locked up.

On Saturday in Brasileiro action, Botafogo romped Atletico PR in a 4-0 while Criciuma picked up its third consecutive league win with a 2-1 defeat of Coritiba.

On Sunday, Fluminense came from behind in a 2-1 victory over Sao Paulo, Vitoria scored on both sides of halftime in a 2-0 defeat of Santos, Goias overturned a one-goal deficit in a 3-1 win over Internacional, Fernandao nabbed the lone goal in Bahia's 1-0 victory at last-place Nautico, Portuguesa defeated Atletico Mineiro in a 2-0 win while Corinthians and Vasco da Gama played to a 0-0 draw.
