Washington quarterback Keith Price is uncertain how long he'll be sidelined after leaving the Huskies' game against No. 13 UCLA at halftime Friday night with an injured shoulder.

Price will have an MRI on his shoulder Saturday in Seattle after the Huskies (6-4, 3-4 Pac-12) return home from their 41-31 loss.

X-rays on Price's shoulder revealed nothing, and the three-year starter tried to remain optimistic he'll be able to play in Washington's final two regular-season games, against Oregon State and Washington State.

"I thought I was going to be able to keep on going (against UCLA)," Price said. "It's unfortunate. I'm disappointed, and it hurts. ... I'm proud of the way the guys competed at the end, (but) it's kind of hard playing without your starting quarterback."

Price was 10 for 18 for 181 yards and a TD pass to Jaydon Mickens, keeping the Huskies competitive after they fell behind 14-0 in the opening minutes. Price is Washington's career lead with 73 touchdown passes.

Price thinks he was hurt on one of the Huskies' final plays of the first half. He attempted to warm up on the sideline after the injury, but winced in pain.

"I got hit twice in a row, and I'm not really sure which hit it was, but it hurt pretty bad," Price said.

Backup Cyler Miles passed for 149 yards in the second half, but threw interceptions on consecutive passes late in the fourth quarter to scuttle the Huskies' comeback hopes.

Price returned to the sideline in a sweat suit and a cap during the third quarter, imparting encouragement to Miles, a freshman who has played sparingly this season.

"It's hard just watching from the sideline, knowing that you could have a big-time impact on a game," Price said. "I'm not saying I would have won the game, but it was hard to stop us when I was in."
