Berea, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Heidelberg University running back Cartel Brooks established the NCAA single-game rushing record with 465 yards Saturday in a 42-14 win over Baldwin-Wallace.

Brooks, who carried the ball 38 times and scored three touchdowns, eclipsed the mark set last month by Western Connecticut State University running back Octavias McKoy. He set the NCAA single-game rushing record with 455 yards.

Before these two performances, the previous record was held by Dante Brown of Marietta College. He ran for 441 yards against Baldwin-Wallace on Oct. 5, 1996.
