Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was sidelined for Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors because of a sore right hamstring.

Rose, who missed all of last season after having surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, was injured in the fourth quarter Monday against Cleveland.

The former NBA MVP had been optimistic he could play against the Raptors and was considered a game-time decision. Rose is averaging 14.7 points and 4.5 assists

The Bulls are back home Saturday night for a game against the Indiana Pacers.
