New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans signed small forward Josh Childress and journeyman power forward Lou Amundson on Tuesday.

Childress, 30, has averaged 9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 387 career games with Atlanta, Phoenix and Brooklyn. The Stanford product was the sixth player taken in the 2004 draft.

Amundson, who turns 31 next month, has averaged 3.7 points and played for eight teams since debuting in the NBA during the 2006-07 season.

The Pelicans also waived forwards Lance Thomas and Arinze Onuaku.
