Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Charlotte Bobcats updated the condition of head coach Steve Clifford.

"Bobcats Head Coach Steve Clifford was released from the hospital this morning. He is resting comfortably at home and looks forward to re-joining the team soon," said team president of basketball operations in a Saturday statement.

Clifford had two stents placed in his heart during a procedure Friday after suffering chest pains during a dinner.

Clifford was admitted to the hospital Thursday night and underwent testing on Friday morning, leading doctors to conclude he needed the procedure.

Patrick Ewing, the former Knicks great and Bobcats associate head coach, led Charlotte in its 101-91 loss Friday night against New York.
