Two big plays set up Cody Clark's 18-yard field goal with three seconds remaining to give Middle Tennessee a 24-21 victory over UAB on Saturday.

Tied at 21 after a UAB touchdown, the Blue Raiders (5-4, 3-2 Conference USA) drove 75 yards with 1:50 remaining. Reggie Whatley, who rushed for 155 yards, ran 33 yards on third down, and Logan Kilgore and Marcus Henry combined on a 33-yard passing play down to the 1.

UAB had led until Kilgore hit Henry on a 93-yarder for a 14-13 lead with 9:41 left in the game. Henry had 136 yards receiving.

Stephen Roberts extended the lead to 21-13 with 6:26 left on a 40-yard interception return.

The Blazers (2-6, 1-3) then tied the game on a 70-yard drive with Jonathan Perry throwing a 21-yard scoring pass and adding a 2-point run.

Blazers Jordan Howard and Darrin Reaves rushed for over 100 yards.
