Pete Carroll's next gig: Barista?

The first Starbucks opened in Seattle in 1971, and it has been an institution in the city ever since. The Seahawks played the first game in franchise history five years later.

Nearly four decades later both are going strong, Starbucks' stock price hovering at the $80 mark on NASDAQ and the Seahawks sporting the best record in the NFC at 6-1 -- and briefly holding the world record for loudest crowd .

So imagine the excitement of some Emerald City residents when this greeted them at the drive-thru line of a Starbucks branch on Wednesday.

In exchange for a $50,000 grant from Starbucks, Carroll and some of his players served as "guest baristas" at various Starbucks branches throughout the city.
