Moscow, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - Carla Suarez Navarro was among the winners Tuesday in the first round of the Kremlin Cup.

The sixth-seeded Spaniard had little trouble in a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Russia's Vera Dushevina and will next face Russian wild card Alisa Kleybanova in the second round. Kleybanova advanced with a first-round win Monday.

Other winners Tuesday included Russian Elena Vesnina and Slovakians Daniela Hantuchova and Magdalena Rybarikova. Vesnina cruised past Yaroslava Shvedova, 6-1, 6-2, and will next meet second-seeded Italian Roberta Vinci in round two. Hantuchova also posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Spain's Arantxa Parra Santonja and Rybarikova moved on with a 7-5, 6-2 triumph over Russian Ksenia Pervak.

Serbia's Vesna Dolonc rallied past ninth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3. Cibulkova was given a seed earlier this week after top-seeded Angelique Kerber withdrew from the tournament with an abdominal strain.

Also, Klara Zakopalova claimed a 6-4, 6-3 win over qualifier Danka Kovinic and Sofia Arvidsson rebounded from a disastrous first set to earn a 0-6, 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Galina Voskoboeva.

The winner of this $797,707 tournament will receive $132,470.
