Fontvieille, Monaco (SportsNetwork.com) - Monaco reclaimed sole possession of first place in Ligue 1 on Saturday as an 87th-minute strike from Lucas Ocampos handed the club a 2-1 victory over St. Etienne.

Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco scored in the 15th minute to give Monaco a one-goal edge heading into halftime, but St. Etienne got on equal terms less than four minutes after the restart thanks to Romain Hamouma's fourth league goal of the campaign.

It looked as if the two sides would share the spoils, but Ocampos netted his first goal of the season at the death to give Monaco all three points.

The win sees Monaco improve to 21 points, three points better than PSG ahead of its massive clash with Marseille on Sunday.

St. Etienne is winless in its last four league games, leaving the club on 13 points for the season.

Filip Djordjevic recorded a brace for Nantes on Saturday as his double helped the club claim a 3-0 victory over Evian. Nantes has won three straight Ligue 1 contests to climb to 16 points while Evian's four-game winless run leaves the club on nine points.

Lille also stormed to a 3-0 victory on Saturday as goals from Pape N'Diaye Souare, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Salomon Kalou saw the club cruise past Ajaccio.

Elsewhere in the French top flight on Saturday, Guingamp dispatched of 10-man Rennes in a 2-0 home win at the Stade du Roudourou, Ben Yedder provided the lone goal in Toulouse's 1-0 defeat of Nice and Eloge Enza Yamissi scored late to give Valenciennes a point from a 1-1 draw with Reims.
