Jordan Johnson threw four touchdown passes and Travon Van and Jordan Canada each topped 100 yards rushing to pace Montana to a 55-27 victory over Portland State on Saturday.

The Grizzlies (4-1, 1-1) never trailed in the Big Sky Conference game that featured nearly 1,100 yards in combined total offense.

Johnson had scoring passes of 36, 25 and 10 yards to Clay Pierson, and a 17-yard TD strike to Cam Warren. Van scored on a 42-yard scamper, Canada scored on a 2-yard run and Jordan Tripp recovered a fumble in the end zone.

Portland State's (3-3, 0-2) Kieran McDonagh had scoring passes of 32 yards to Shaq Richard and 12 yards to Victor Dean. Dean caught a 71-yard TD pass from Collin Ramirez. Backup quarterback Paris Penn added a 22-yard touchdown pass to Alex Toureen.
