Foued Kadir scored twice in the span of the three minutes to lift Rennes to a 2-0 victory over Ajaccio at the Stade de la Route de Lorient on Saturday.

Kadir opened the scoring in the 13th minute and quickly managed to double his side's advantage shortly after.

It proved to be all Rennes would need as they rode Kadir's first goals of the Ligue 1 season to all three points, bringing the club 11 points on the season and extending its unbeaten run to four games.

Ajaccio is still winless on the season as it has taken just three points from its opening six games.

Lille also received a brace en route to a 2-0 victory on Saturday as Nolan Roux's double, which came in the 34th and 37th minutes at the Stade Auguste Bonal, helped his side pick up a much-needed defeat of lowly Sochaux.

Elsewhere in the French top flight on Saturday, Evian battled back from two goals down to claim a point from a 2-2 draw with Montpellier, Reims overturned a one-goal deficit in a 1-1 home draw with Guingamp and Marseille was held to a point from a 0-0 draw at Bastia.
