New York Giants cornerback Corey Webster is unlikely to play in Sunday's game at Carolina due to a hip flexor injury he sustained during the week.

Webster has missed the last two days of practice and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's matchup. Veteran Aaron Ross is the leading candidate to start in his place.

Offensive tackle David Diehl (thumb surgery) and tight end Adrien Robinson (foot), both of whom have missed the Giants' first two contests of the season, have been ruled out for the Carolina game.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was not at Friday's practice due to a personal matter, but is fully expected to participate in Sunday's tilt.
