LSU running back Jeremy Hill is expected to make his season debut when the No. 9 Tigers host UAB on Saturday, a source told the Baton Rouge Advocate.

Hill, who led the Tigers with 755 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns as a true freshman last season, was suspended in the spring following an arrest for simple battery on April 27. He was involved in an altercation outside a bar near the university.

The 20-year-old was initially ruled to have violated the terms of a previous probation involving a misdemeanor charge of carnal knowledge with a juvenille in January of 2011. However, the Advocate reported that a state district judge overturned that verdict on Aug. 5.

Hill sat out LSU's 37-27 victory over then-No. 20 TCU in Arlington last Saturday. He is expected to back up Week 1 starter Alfred Blue at tailback against the Blazers.
