The Baltimore Orioles selected the contract of outfielder Chris Dickerson from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday and designated infielder Alex Liddi for assignment.

Dickerson has played in 37 games for the Tides this season, totaling two homers, seven doubles and eight RBI.

The 31-year-old has also appeared in 46 games with the O's, hitting .245 with four homers and 13 RBI.

Liddi had been purchased from the Seattle Mariners on July 6 and hit .222 with four homers, 11 doubles and 22 runs batted in over 49 games in Norfolk.

Prior to the acquisition, the native of Italy collected one hit in 17 at-bats in eight appearances with the M's.
