Czech Andrea Hlavackova and Belarusian Max Mirnyi captured the mixed doubles championship at the 2013 U.S. Open.

The seventh-seeded tandem handled an unseeded duo of American Abigail Spears and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at Ashe Stadium on a beautiful day at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The 36-year-old Mirnyi has now captured four mixed doubles Grand Slams with three different partners. He's a three-time mixed champ at the U.S. Open and also owns six men's doubles major titles on tour.

The 27-year-old Hlavackova captured her first-ever mixed doubles major title on Friday. She also won a French Open women's doubles championship in 2011.

Hlavackova and Mirnyi will split $150,000, while Spears and Gonzalez will split $70,000.
