Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Brandon Ghee and guard Mike Pollak have been ruled out for Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears.

Ghee did not take the field at all this week due to a concussion. The 26-year- old Wake Forest product spent all of last season on injured reserve thanks to a wrist injury suffered in training camp.

Pollak, who also did not see the field on any of the three practice days, is dealing with a knee issue.

Left tackle Andrew Whitworth did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday, then was prepared to take the field on Friday before a last-minute change sent him to the sidelines. He was listed as doubtful.

The Louisiana State product had started 67 consecutive games for Cincinnati.

Defensive end Carlos Dunlap and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (concussions), tight end Tyler Eifert (forearm), tackle Andre Smith and defensive lineman Devon Still (knees) were listed as probable.
