Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore scored a game-high 30 points, and her two free throws early in the fourth quarter gave her team the lead for good, as Minnesota claimed an 83-72 win over Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Lynx scored just eight points in the third quarter, turning a six-point halftime advantage into a 59-56 deficit after three.

Named an All-Star starter earlier on Tuesday, Moore sank both her attempts with 6:14 to play, giving the hosts a 64-62 lead and accelerating a game- changing 12-2 run which ended on her layup with 2:43 left to make it 74-64.

Lindsay Whalen added 16 points and Janel McCarville chipped in with 14 as Minnesota won for the fifth time in their last seven.

Jantel Lavender totaled 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Nneka Ogwumike pulled down a game-best 14 boards to go with 10 points for Los Angeles, which has lost three of four.
