Catania, Italy – Bordeaux confirmed on Monday that midfielder Jaroslav Plasil has left the club to sign for Serie A side Catania.
The Czech Republic international spent the past four seasons with Bordeaux, netting 11 goals in 147 matches while being named captain of the squad in 2011.
The 31-year-old has been capped 83 times by the Czech Republic and he joins a Catania side that has lost its first two games in Serie A this season.
