A sprint to the finish: Sergio Garcia shoots 65 just to stay ahead at TPC Boston

Sergio Garcia started with the lead in the Deutsche Bank Championship and shot 65. And he needed just about every birdie.

On a course softened by rain that caused a re-start of the third round Sunday, Garcia two-putted for birdie on the 18th hole to take a two-shot lead over Henrik Stenson into the final round.

Stenson stayed with the Spaniard birdie-for-birdie until a three-putt bogey late in the round. He had a 66. Steve Stricker had a 63 and Graham DeLaet of Canada all but locked up his spot on the Presidents Cup team with a 62. They were three shots behind.

Garcia was at 19-under 194.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson both fell back. Woods (72) was 13 shots behind, while Mickelson (71) was 11 shots back.
