Marlins activate Coghlan from 15-day disabled list

The Miami Marlins reinstated outfielder Chris Coghlan from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Over 51 games this season, Coghlan is batting .277 with one homer and 10 RBI.

Additionally, the Marlins recalled pitcher Chris Hatcher and selected the contract of pitcher Zach Phillips from Triple-A New Orleans.

Hatcher appeared in one game for the Marlins earlier this season and surrendered six runs -- five earned -- on four hits and four walks in one inning.

Phillips has appeared in 50 games at New Orleans this season, going 4-2 with a 2.44 earned run average and one save.
