Funny Car points leader Matt Hagan shattered both ends of the track record in qualifying Saturday in the U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

After a lengthy rain delay, Hagan powered his 8,000-horsepower dragster to a 4.007-second run at 319.22 mph in considerably cooler conditions. Hagan has four event victories this season.

Brittany Force stayed atop the Top Fuel field, Allen Johnson remained in front in Pro Stock, and Hector Arana topped the Pro Stock Motorcycle lineup.

The final two rounds of qualifying are Sunday, and the final eliminations are set for Monday.
