Atlanta Braves second baseman Dan Uggla was activated off the 15-day disabled list for Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Indians after recovering from eye surgery.

He went 1-for-3 with a walk.

Diagnosed with astigmatism in spring training, Uggla first experimented with contact lenses before undergoing LASIK surgery on Aug. 16, three days after going on the disabled list.

In 112 games before his DL stint, Uggla hit just .186 with 21 homers and 53 runs batted in. He homered in a minor league rehab game on Tuesday.

The Braves optioned outfielder Todd Cunningham to Triple-A Gwinnett to open a roster spot.
