Butler Bulldogs junior forward Roosevelt Jones underwent season-ending surgery on Thursday to repair an injury to his left wrist.

Jones, the Bulldogs' top returning scorer, rebounder and assist man, sustained the injury in the first game of Butler's recent exhibition trip to Australia when he landed hard on his left wrist.

"I'm pleased that everything went well with Roosevelt's surgery," said Butler head coach Brandon Miller. "I know that Rose will do what's necessary to move forward, and I'm looking forward to his full recovery."

The 6-foot-4 forward was the lone Bulldog to start all 36 games for the team last season, averaging 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.5 assists for a Butler squad that went 27-9.
