The Philadelphia Phillies will summon pitcher Tyler Cloyd from the minors to start Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies.

The Phillies needed to fill a hole in the rotation after placing John Lannan on the disabled list last week with a knee injury.

Cloyd, 26, made six starts between May 10 and June 12 for the big-league club, going 2-2 with a 3.41 ERA. He was 5-9 with a 4.89 ERA in 18 starts for Triple- A Lehigh Valley this season.

The Phillies will make a corresponding move following Monday's game to open a roster spot for the right-hander.
