Denver Nuggets starting point guard Ty Lawson was reportedly arrested on Saturday after a dispute with his girlfriend.

According to the Denver Post, Lawson was charged with physical harassment and criminal mischief. Arapahoe county sheriff Grayson Robinson told the paper Lawson and his girlfriend, Ashley Nicole Pettiford, got into a heated exchange that resulted into the two breaking each others phones.

Pettiford was also arrested and court records show that a mandatory restraining order was issued after charges were filed to both parties.

Lawson appeared in court on Monday and was freed on $1,000 bond, according to court records.

"We are fully aware of an incident involving Ty Lawson over the weekend. Per team policy and out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment at this time," said Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly.

Earlier this year, Lawson was arrested for failing to appear in court in a case that involved him being charged with driving under restraint and careless driving in April 2012.
